We can now explore them firsthand, bathed in a mesmerising light show featuring laser beams and electronic music. Yes, you read that right - this is not a dream, this is real life!

Following its successful debut last year, Dark Spectrum has once again delved into this historical underground network as part of Vivid Sydney 2024. This mind-blowing and immersive light show will guide visitors through a 1km stretch of the tunnel system, leading them through eight underground rooms transformed into vibrant spectacles of lights, robots, animations, and laser displays that must be seen to be believed.

Prepare to wander through secret passages illuminated by pulsating lights, and interact with an LED light show that promises to be a sensory playground of light and sound. Each of the eight rooms will boast a unique theme and color scheme, reflecting different facets of the human experience. Get ready to lose yourself in a series of light installations synchronized with electrifying beats of electronic music. Unfortunately, due to copyright reasons, the music has been altered - but rest assured, the experience will still be nothing short of extraordinary!

Duke & Duchess of York Lookout The walking path to this lookout is very easy and is around 200 metres long. The walk is parallel to the tranquil waters of Kedumba River. The lookout opens up to the spectacular valley and beyond. Breathtaking views include Mount Solitary, Ruined Castle, and the Narrow Neck plateau. Katoomba Falls sits somewhere below the lookout, and cannot be seen, however, the panoramic valley view's make up for not being able to see the falls. The Duke & Duchess of York Lookout is connected to the Prince Henry Cliff Walk and leads to the Katoomba Falls Round Walk and Scenic World. The lookout was named after The Duke of York (later to be King George VI) and the Duchess of York (Queen Mother) when they visited Echo Point in 1927.
