A Visual Treat: Exploring the Natural Treasures of McMahons Point and Mc...

Prepare to be amazed by the breathtaking views of Lake Burragorang and the Blue Mountains wilderness beyond, which can be seen from not one, but two lookouts at McMahons Point! A leisurely 800m walk will take you to the first lookout, where you'll be rewarded with impressive views across the massive reservoir that supplies most of Sydney's water, from a height of 500m above the lake. But wait, there's more! A second lookout can be accessed via a 200m track past the picnic tables, near the carpark.

Take advantage of the picnic area and fresh air, and enjoy a hearty lunch at the tables provided while drinking in the scenic wilderness views. Keep in mind that parking is limited, and there's a non-flush toilet available. While 2WD vehicles can access Kings Tableland Road in dry weather, 4WD vehicles are recommended, especially after rain, as the unsealed road may be boggy and potholed.

If you're a cycling enthusiast, you can park near Old Queen Victoria Hospital and cycle 21km to McMahons Point. However, please note that pets and domestic animals (other than certified assistance animals) are not permitted, and camping or overnight parking is strictly prohibited. So, what are you waiting for? Pack your bags, grab your camera, and get ready for an unforgettable adventure at McMahons Point!
